Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and rotating day/night shifts.

Job Details

• Work in the Heart and Vascular Thoracic Institute (HVTI) Step-Down unit of a large academic hospital campus,

• Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population,

• Rotating day/night shifts: days 7:00am-7:30pm and nights 7:00pm-7:30am,

• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week,

• Shift times may vary based on operational needs of the facility,

Job Requirements

• Active OH RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,

• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in step-down or a closely related specialty prior to travel,

• Minimum 18 months of recent step-down experience (travel experience counts toward this requirement),

• PCU/progressive care experience preferred,

• A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Two professional references are required for consideration,

• ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required to proceed,

• Must be available to work at least every other holiday,

• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location; a minimum 6-month break is required before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
