Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients within a busy, Magnet-certified medical-surgical unit. Ensures high standards of patient safety, comfort, and recovery through expert clinical practice.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
• Document patient information and interventions thoroughly in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
• Proven experience in a cardiac stepdown or medical-surgical unit.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and post-acute care procedures.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient cases effectively.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
