Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to surgical and medical telemetry patients in a hospital setting. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and compliance with medical protocols during night shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess responses to treatment.
- Document patient care activity accurately in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, emergencies, and alarms.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
- Must have at least 18 months of recent, permanent RN experience in specialty care.
- Hold an active Ohio RN license (compact licenses accepted for starts from 01/01/23).
- Provide two recent references from healthcare management within the past 12 months.
- Complete all required certifications with no pending credentials.
- Pass ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments with acceptable scores.
- Be negative for nicotine and pass a 10-panel drug screen within 12 months.
- Gain experience in a reputable hospital environment with ongoing professional development.
