About This Role
The RN in the Cardiac Short Stay/PACU/CARU unit at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus provides direct nursing care to patients recovering from various cardiac procedures. This role is ideal for nurses seeking to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse and higher-acuity patient populations.

- Department/Unit: Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit and Post Anesthesia Care Unit/Cardiac Accelerated Recovery Unit
- Schedule: Full-time, Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program) required.
Experience: One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience required.
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred if in a Critical Care area.
