RN - Thoracic Surgery Stepdown

About This Role

As an RN in the Thoracic Surgery Stepdown unit at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide expert nursing care to patients recovering from thoracic surgeries and other medical conditions.   Per Diem, Night shift

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

• Education:
  
  Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program) required.
• Experience:
  
  One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience required.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
