HOPKINS REHABILITATION & CARE CENTER - A place of comfort, care, and community CNAs/STNAs – up to $25/hour SHIFT TIMES
- Day Shift (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
- Night Shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)
Under supervision of licensed nurse, provides routine nursing care to residents. Assists as needed with activities of daily living to ensure that assigned residents are clean, comfortable, properly dressed and well-groomed at all times. Assists assigned residents with meals and snacks. Treats residents with kindness and respect. Encourages residents to maintain independence and self-confidence by offering choices whenever possible. Understands and promotes “Residents Rights”.
SPECIFICRESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides care and duties as allowed by the Ohio Board of nursing
- Received report on assigned residents at the start of shift. At the end of each work period, report updates and changes to the Charge Nurse.
- Keeps call button and other care items within reach of resident.
- Answers lights and requests promptly, assures residents in safe position when exiting the room
- Supplies residents with fresh drinking water in clean pitchers.
- Assists residents with shower shampoo, nail care, oral hygiene, dressing and grooming.
- Transport assigned residents to and from activities.
- Positions and turns bedfast/ chair fast residents every two hours or more as required
- Assists residents with ambulation
- Assists residents with toileting
- Assists with restorative nursing and rehabilitation programs
- Keep residents' rooms neat and attractive, trash removal each shift, attends removal at the time of removal
- Documents in residents Electronic Health Care Record (Point Click Care) as dictated in the Point of Care section
- Supports the resident’s goals and plan of care
- Communicates in a professional compassionate manner to all residents
- Understand the basis of infection control and adheres to the PPE requirements at all time
- Practices good handwashing between residents
- Reports care refusals to Licensed nurse at time of occurrence
- Checks air mattresses and cushions to assure required skin prevention support is present
- Reports changes of conditions in residents to nurse as they occur
- Reports concerns voiced by resident or family member to supervisor as they occur
