Registered Nurse - IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care on the HVTI-Stepdown unit, with potential for float to related units, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. Work rotating shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment, adhering to compliance and certification standards.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to the same patient population, utilizing clinical nursing skills and protocols.
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, recognizing abnormal patterns promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments following prescribed orders and safety standards.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain compliance with all certification, licensing, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent, perm experience in a Stepdown or progressive care setting.
• Be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and Safe Medicate assessments during orientation.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and documentation skills.
• Ability to work every other holiday as required.
