Start Date & Shift Options
Start Date: ASAP (Onboarding and credentialing process typically takes 4–6 weeks)
Shift Options- Days: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Evenings: 11:30 AM – 12:00 AM or 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Nights: 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM or 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM
We are seeking an experienced Medical‑Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in an acute care setting. The RN will care for patients with a variety of medical, surgical, orthopedic, oncology, neurological, and post‑operative conditions while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high‑quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms, reporting significant changes
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation - Provide wound care, wound vac therapy, Foley catheter care, and ostomy care
- Manage central lines, chest tubes, drainage devices, and heparin drips
- Deliver pre‑operative and post‑operative nursing care
- Monitor for sepsis, respiratory complications, cardiac conditions, and other acute care concerns
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
- Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing assistants and support personnel
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient condition
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in Ohio or a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Current BLS and CPR certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of direct nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Acute Care Medical‑Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Long‑term contract opportunity through May 2028
