Weekender Registered Nurse (RN) Digestive & Pulmonary Health Acute Care Unit (260005VD)
Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12‑hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full‑time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part‑time levels.

Lakeside 55 is a 20‑bed non‑telemetry floor that has a primary focus of gastrointestinal and pulmonary health. The staff includes nurses and nursing assistants with a range of experience from new graduates to more than twenty years, creating a supportive, family‑like learning environment.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices). Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
1 year of RN experience required.
Education RequirementsBachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from an accredited program.
License RequirementsRegistered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
