Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

The Med/Surg Tele RN will provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. This role may involve floating to units J1-2, J33, and ED to care for similar patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders.
• Recognize and respond promptly to abnormal cardiac rhythms and other urgent conditions.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in shift handoffs and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or Compact state license in Handha or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent permanent and/or travel Med/Surg/Telemetry experience.
• Have at least 18 months of combined perm experience in the relevant specialty.
• Provide two recent references from managers, ANMs, supervisors, or directors within the past 12 months.
• Be able to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• Be willing to work at least every other holiday.
