Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients in a high-acuity hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have recent pediatric critical care experience and be comfortable caring for patients with complex medical and neurological conditions.
Schedule
- Night Shift
- 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Holiday coverage required, including at least every other holiday
- Minimum 18 months of recent Pediatric nursing experience required
- Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
- Previous travel experience may be used toward recent pediatric experience requirements
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- NIHSS
- Pediatric Intensive Care Nursing
- Critical Care Assessment
- Epilepsy Monitoring
- Cardiac Monitoring
- ECG Rhythm Interpretation
- Inotrope Administration and Monitoring
- Neurological Assessment
- Pediatric Emergency Response
- Ventilator and Airway Management
- Medication Administration
- Pediatric patients
- Specialized care for patients from infancy through young adulthood (up to age 25)
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
- Monitor and manage complex medical and neurological conditions
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to clinical changes
- Administer and monitor inotropic medications
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care goals
