St. Luke Lutheran Community is hiring compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at our beautiful Portage Lakes campus near Turkeyfoot Lake in Akron, Ohio.
Our campus offers a smaller, close-knit care setting with lower-acuity residents, giving nurses the opportunity to provide thoughtful, personalized care while working alongside a supportive team. LPN Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document residents’ health conditions including vital signs, symptoms, and treatment responses.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Provide nursing care including wound care, catheter care, and support with daily living activities.
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated resident care.
- Educate residents and families about health conditions, treatments, and care plans.
- Ensure care is delivered in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Respond to emergencies and provide clinical support when necessary.
- Assist with training and supervision of State-Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs).
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and handle sensitive information confidentially.
