About This Role

As a New Grad RN Resident in Orthopaedic & Spine at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide exceptional patient care on the General Surgery 5D Unit, working with a team to support patients undergoing Bariatric, Neurology, Spinal, and Orthopedic surgeries. This role is ideal for recent nursing graduates looking to enhance their skills in a supportive environment.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital
• Department/Unit: General Surgery 5D Unit
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
• Interact directly with patients and their families to enhance their experience.
• Provide healthcare education as needed.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• New grad RN or less than one year of RN work experience.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
