Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in the cardiovascular operating room. The nurse will support heart and lung transplant procedures and circulate all cardiac cases, ensuring smooth surgical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in circulating cardiac surgeries, including heart and lung transplants.
• Take call and holiday call as required to provide ongoing coverage.
• Prepare the surgical environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Scrub and assist with sterile procedures, if skilled in scrubbing.
• Support post-operative care and documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current and valid RN license.
• Have recent experience in a CVOR or cardiovascular surgical setting.
• Possess the ability to circulate all cardiac cases proficiently.
• Be willing to take on call and holiday shifts.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS required.
