Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab​/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. Ensures patient safety, monitors vital signs, and assists the medical team throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities:

• Administer pre-procedure medications and prepare patients for cardiac cath and EP procedures.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses during procedures.
• Assist physicians and technical staff with invasive cardiovascular interventions.
• Educate patients regarding procedural processes and post-procedure care.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Document clinical findings and interventions accurately in patient records.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP setting.
• Certification in ACLS and BLS.
• Strong understanding of cardiac procedures, instrumentation, and patient monitoring.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
