Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Summary

Coordinates, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates education and healthcare services for patients within the Pediatrics Clinic. Establishes, monitors, and updates processes and related policies and procedures for the specialty practice. Collaborates with personnel to facilitate the accurate and efficient flow of patients through the healthcare system. Applies knowledge of current nursing theories and practices, research methodologies, computer applications, organizational and departmental functions, and principles of leadership, management, and education to complete responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate education and healthcare services for patients.
  • Establish, monitor, and update processes and related policies and procedures for the specialty practice.
  • Collaborate with personnel to facilitate the accurate and efficient flow of patients through the healthcare system.
  • Apply knowledge of nursing theories, research methodologies, computer applications, and organizational functions to complete responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • Required:

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school.
  • Required:

    Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Ohio.
  • Required:

    At least 2 years of recent clinical experience in a setting related to the assigned specialty.
  • Required:

    Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Required:

    Ability to handle information with strict confidentiality.
  • Required:

    Ability to initiate projects and carry out day‑to‑day operations with minimal supervision.
  • Required:

    Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Required:

    Excellent delegation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Required:

    Strong analytical and data‑management skills.
  • Required:

    Strong leadership, organization, and time‑management skills.
  • Required:

    Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and various software and database applications.
  • Required:

    Current AHA Basic Life Support for the provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred:
    Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school.
  • Preferred:
    Knowledge of EPIC functionality.
Physical Demands
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
  • May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Fresh visual range with or without correction.
  • Hears in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Finger dexterity required to operate office equipment.
  • May need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to communicate face‑to‑face, by phone, email, and other communications.
  • Must be able to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
  • Requires some exposure to chemicals.
