Position Summary The Family Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in the integrated care team, providing medical assessments, managing withdrawal protocols, and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. This role involves direct patient care, medication management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ongoing monitoring to ensure safe, effective treatment for individuals with substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive medical assessments upon admission and throughout the patient’s stay.

Develop and implement individualized medical treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and clinical teams.

Manage withdrawal symptoms using evidence‑based protocols and monitor patient safety during detoxification and stabilization.

Prescribe and manage medications, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment), in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Provide education to patients on health conditions, medications, recovery, and harm reduction strategies.

Collaborate with nursing staff, behavioral health clinicians, and case managers to support whole‑person care.

Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Support a trauma‑informed, patient‑centered environment that promotes dignity, respect, and recovery.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing; board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Active and unrestricted state NP license.

DEA registration (including X-waiver if required by state for MAT prescribing; or willingness to obtain).Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, primary care, or urgent care preferred.

Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort working with patients in various stages of withdrawal and recovery.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team.

Compassionate, patient-centered approach to clinical practice.
