Weekender Registered Nurse (RN) Multi Specialty Acute Care Unit (260006CT)
About Lakeside 50 (Multi Specialty Telemetry Unit)Lakeside 50 is a 20 bed Telemetry unit that admits patients with various medical diagnosis some of whom who have become increasingly unstable during their clinical course. The nurses on our division are competent in Telemetry interpretation, and are privileged to administer some cardiac drugs that are considered high risk for general med-surg units. Our staff work in a fast-paced setting with high stakes.
Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part‑time levels.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices). Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
1 year of RN experience required.
Education RequirementsBachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program.
License RequirementsRegistered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
