We are looking for a Nurse Manager (RN) to join our state‑of‑the‑art rehabilitation hospital in Cleveland, WI. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional, patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Staff and day‑to‑day management and administration of the assigned unit
  • Supervise the quality of treatment and care for patients and perform RN duties as needed
  • Integrate company values into daily practice
  • Under direction of the DNO, oversee nursing operations of patient care activities, including supervision of staff, tasks, and workflow
  • Manage staffing needs by evaluating census, acuity, skill level, and staff availability
  • Assist with department hiring, employee training and development, counseling and disciplinary actions, performance assessment, and staff retention
  • Provide education, direction, and mentorship to the nursing team regarding function, purpose, and goals
  • Ensure accreditation and other care standards set by state and accrediting agencies (TJC, CMS) are met
  • Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality patient care and ensure positive outcomes
  • Track and surveil Infection Prevention Program trends, activities, and reporting
  • Assist with developing, reviewing, and revising patient‑care policies and procedures to align with hospital, TJC, CMS, and state/local standards
  • Provide direct patient‑care nursing responsibilities during high‑flow work periods and maintain an active presence on the unit for patient and physician rounds
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and the nursing department to conduct performance‑improvement activities, including data collection, analysis, and process improvement
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve staff, patient, physician, and family concerns promptly, reporting issues to the DNO
  • Initiate corrective steps for problem resolution when appropriate
  • Be available to work during inclement weather and staffing emergencies as needed
  • Create a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, assessing risks and implementing precautions
  • Comply with safety and Infection Prevention standards
Minimum

Job Requirements
  • Two years of relevant experience; preferred three years in a hospital nurse‑management position
Required Licenses, Certifications, and Documentation
  • Current state Registered Nurse license
  • CRRN certification (within three years of hire)
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification (state depends; TX required)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of current nursing theory and practice, infection prevention, and wound care standards
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards (TJC, CMS) and ability to ensure compliance
  • General computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and records management
  • Critical thinking, organizational, and time‑management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks while maintaining quality and safety
  • Ability to uphold infection prevention standards
Physical Requirements
  • Significant amount of sitting, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling; may lift up to 50 lbs
  • Shifts may expose staff to bodily fluids and require visual and auditory acuity for patient assessment and documentation
  • Manual dexterity for equipment operation and computer use
  • Ability to adjust focus and maintain close vision for documentation
