- Develop and monitor infection prevention policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and implement evidence-based practices
- Analyze infection and antibiotic usage data
- Educate staff on infection control protocols
- Participate in QAPI and quality improvement initiatives
- Oversee infection control training for new employees
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and report to leadership
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines
- Current RN or LPN license
- Completion of state-approved Infection Control Preventionist training
- Certified in Infection Control Prevention
- Strong knowledge of infection control regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and conduct facility-wide inspections

Wound Nurse – OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Nurse to join our team. In this important role, you will provide specialized care to residents with wounds, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and healing. If you’re a dedicated nurse with a passion for wound care and teamwork, we welcome your application.
Wound Nurse – Qualifications- Current and valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment
- Experience in wound care and long-term care (preferred)
- Strong documentation, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
– Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and update physician orders for wound care treatments
- Administer treatments and monitor healing progress
- Document wound status weekly (stage, size, depth, color, drainage, odor, resident response)
- Observe and document skin condition and changes
- Notify residents, families, physicians, and team members of changes
- Review and revise care plans as needed
- Participate in care planning meetings and MDS updates
- Report wound status to the Director of Nursing
- Provide wound care education and in-service training to staff
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Maintain care within budgetary guidelines
- Participate in State Department of Health inspections and facility committees
- Complete management reports and special assignments as directed
