RN Surgery - Ophthalmology

About This Role

As an RN in Surgery supporting ophthalmology services, you will play an integral role across the full continuum of care for eye surgeries and procedures. This position is ideal for those looking to grow their skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute
• Department/Unit: Surgery
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating functions.
• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.
• Rotate through pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative phases.
• Assist during procedures and provide post-operative care and education.
• Participate in a comprehensive OR training program of approximately six months.
• Expand skillset through cross-training in additional surgical specialties.

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required.

Experience: One year of RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program required. Prior experience as a circulating nurse or in a perioperative setting preferred.

Licenses &

Certifications:

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred if performing moderate/procedural sedation.
