About This Role

As a Research Nurse within Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute, you will oversee the implementation and coordination of human subject research studies, utilizing your clinical nursing expertise to support patient evaluations and ongoing study management.

• Complete and communicate regulatory documents and monitor plans.
• Report Serious Adverse Events as they occur.
• Serve as a liaison between investigators and research personnel.
• Utilize the nursing process as a basis for patient care.
• Assess research subjects and document findings.
• Establish a care plan in collaboration with the research subject and team.
• Identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.
• Perform telephone triage, nursing procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Conduct and document the informed consent process.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program) required

• 2 years of clinical experience required

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
