American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Work on a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Possibility of caring for patients on ventilators
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours): 7:00 PM-7:30 AM and 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs, though the facility will attempt to honor shift preferences
• Required to work at least every other holiday

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments during orientation with a passing score

• Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients, including potential ventilator patients
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignment length available for either 13 or 20 weeks to provide winter coverage
• Candidates limited to 2 attempts to pass required orientation assessments
