This position is for a Registered Nurse working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM in an acute care behavioral health environment. The RN will provide psychiatric nursing care to patients experiencing mental health conditions requiring hospitalization and stabilization. The role involves managing therapeutic environments, supporting patient safety, and assisting with treatment plans designed to improve mental health outcomes.
Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, administering medications, and maintaining structured therapeutic care within the behavioral health unit. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. The role requires strong behavioral health nursing skills, the ability to manage complex patient behaviors, and effective communication to maintain a safe and supportive treatment environment.
