RN Surgery Weekender Flex – Surgical Float Pool

About This Role

As an RN in the Surgical Float Pool at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide essential nursing care to diverse patient populations in various surgical units. This fast-paced role requires adaptability and flexibility while ensuring patients are supported and comfortable throughout their surgical journey.

  Full-time, Weekend Days + One Weekday Shift

• Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform scrub functions, including selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions, monitoring and communicating patient condition.
• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis and suturing.
• Prepare the Operating Room, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN required)

Experience:

• One year RN experience required or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred within 6 months of hire
