The New Grad RN Resident in the Heart & Lung Transplant Unit at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus provides specialized nursing care for solid organ transplant patients. This role is ideal for recent nursing graduates seeking to build their skills in a supportive and advanced healthcare environment.

  Full-time, Day shift

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity, preference, and resource availability.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program) required.

Experience:

• New grad or less than one year RN work experience required.
• If experienced RN, must have less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred within the first year of hire.
