Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Straight nights 7 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday.
The Cardiac Stepdown RN is responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing cardiac devices, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal recovery and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Continuously monitor cardiovascular status and assess for signs of cardiac complications.
- Administer and monitor adverse reactions to prescribed cardiac medications.
- Provide post-surgical care and manage pain, while monitoring for complications.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and post-care guidelines.
- Work with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive care plans and document care accurately.
- Respond to emergencies and assist in resuscitation efforts.
- Follow protocols to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Minimum of 3 years RN experience in Med Surg.
- Minimum of 1 year of travel experience.
- Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
- BLS required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience in cardiac care, critical care, or telemetry nursing is required.
