New Grad RN Resident – Colorectal Surgery

About This Role

As a New Grad RN Resident in the Colorectal Surgery unit at Cleveland Clinic, you will assist in delivering exceptional patient care while gaining invaluable experience in a specialized environment. This role is ideal for new graduates looking to develop their nursing skills in a supportive and advanced healthcare setting.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus
• Department/Unit: Colorectal Surgery
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
• Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience.
• Assist in delivering care to patients with complex medical histories and conditions.
• Utilize comprehensive skills to deliver outstanding care.
• Engage in hands-on training and simulation lab experiences.

• Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience:
  • New grad or less than one year of RN work experience required
  • Experience moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one-year current acute direct patient care RN experience preferred
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for Critical Care areas
