Join our Labor & Delivery Unit!Primary Patient Population:
- Obstetric Patient (16 weeks gestation through 2 weeks postpartum)
Primary skills utilized/learned:
- Fetal Monitoring
- Assessing fetal oxygenation
- Providing interventions to improve fetal oxygenation
- Titrating IV inducing medications
- Monitoring epidural patients
- Patient coaching during delivery
- Assessing safety/stability post-delivery
- Providing support during loss
Personnel RN will work with:
- Maternity Service Reps, Nurse Interns, NICU RNs, NICU Providers, OB Providers, Anesthesia team
Number of beds on unit:
- 10 birthing rooms
- 3 ORs/3 Pre-OP, PACU
- 10 total beds
- High Risk/Antepartum - 6 Outpatient Triage beds

Required Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- NRP certification or obtained within 3 months of hire
- PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
- PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
- BSN
- Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
