Nurse Manager – Trauma Step Down

About This Role

The Nurse Manager for the Trauma Step Down Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus will lead the development of a new, high-acuity nursing unit focused on trauma care. This role is ideal for a nurse leader passionate about building teams and shaping the future of trauma services.

• Pay: $101,900 - $155,390 annually
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus
• Department/Unit: Trauma Step Down Unit
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Manage the operation and practice of professional nursing on the assigned unit.
• Establish clinical direction of nursing care and maintain quality outcomes.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
• Supervise caregivers and promote their development.
• Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
• Coordinate unit operations with other units/departments.
• Develop and monitor budgets, approve purchases, and establish/revise inventory quotes.
• Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs.
• Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes, and develop strategic plans.
• Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.

• Education:
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience:
  • Three years of recent nursing clinical experience required
  • At least one year of healthcare management experience required
  • Two years of healthcare management experience preferred

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
