Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes during the assigned shift. This role involves monitoring, assessing, and responding to patient needs within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions continuously and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize rhythms, and respond to arrhythmias effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health management and post-discharge instructions.
• Comply with all clinical and safety standards, including certifications and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio license or a compact state license in hand at the time of application.
• Have at least 18 months of recent, perm experience in a stepdown or IMC/PCU setting.
• Possess active certifications, including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments.
• Be willing to work rotating 3×12-hour shifts, including every other holiday.
• Complete an ECG rhythm assessment with acceptable scores during orientation.
