Registered Nurse IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring clinical excellence and patient safety. Performs assessments, manages care plans, and collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor, recognize, and respond to patient vital signs, ECG rhythms, and changes in condition.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all certifications, licensing, and hospital safety requirements.
• Support patient and family education to promote understanding of health conditions and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio license or compact license in hand at the time of submission.
• Possess 18 months of recent, verifiable experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting, preferably within one location or combined.
• Be certified in American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with active certification in hand.
• Successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments during orientation.
• Demonstrate ability to work every other holiday, adhering to hospital policies.
