Registered Nurse Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Provide specialized medical-surgical telehealth nursing care within a hospital setting, supporting patient needs across multiple units as needed. This role ensures quality patient care through comprehensive assessment, intervention, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver direct patient care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Recognize and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately to monitor patient status and escalate concerns promptly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and effectively, adhering to all clinical guidelines.
• Document patient information thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Comply with all certification, licensing, and hospital policies, including ongoing competency requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio license or compact state license and an active, in-hand license prior to start.
• Possess 18 months of recent and/or perm experience in medical-surgical or telehealth nursing within the past 12 months.
• Demonstrate competency in ECG rhythm recognition and Safe Medicate assessments during orientation.
• Maintain active certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Be willing to work rotating night/day shifts, including holidays, as required.
