American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population
• May care for patients on ventilators
• Rotating day/night shift schedule (3x12 hours): nights 7:00pm-7:30am and days 7:00am-7:30pm
• Shifts may be subject to change based on the operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license required in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments during orientation with a passing score
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

• Assignment length of 20 weeks to provide winter coverage, though 13-week contracts will also be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applied specialty from an assignment within the past 12 months
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments are limited to 18 consecutive months, followed by a required minimum 6-month break before starting another assignment within the health system
