RN Ambulatory - Primary Care

About This Role

As an RN in the ambulatory primary care setting at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional patient care, from initial introduction to final send-off. This role is ideal for those who enjoy direct patient interaction and are committed to enhancing the patient experience.

  Part-time, Day shift

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
• Administer medication and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

• Education:
  
  Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required
• Experience:
  
  One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant, and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire preferred for areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing
