Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provides high-quality emergency nursing care to acute patients in a fast-paced environment. Ensures patient safety, stabilizes critically ill patients, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions upon arrival and prioritize care based on severity.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, administer ECGs, and recognize abnormal rhythms to ensure prompt intervention.
• Document patient status, treatments, and responses thoroughly and accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update care plans.
• Comply with all safety standards, certifications, and facility policies, including holiday requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Ohio license or compact license in hand at time of submission.
• Have a minimum of 18 months of recent ER experience, including travel experience acceptable.
• Hold active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments.
• Be able to work at least every other holiday shifts.
• Complete required background checks and drug screens within specified time frames.
