Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a hospital setting. Serve as a vital member of the healthcare team, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes through skilled nursing interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess patient conditions, and recognize abnormal rhythms or signs indicating deterioration.
• Document patient care activities accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management, post-discharge instructions, and medication adherence.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including code blues and rapid response calls.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio or compact state Nurse License in hand at the time of submission.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 18 months of recent acute care RN experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units.
• Successfully pass an ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, all active and maintained.
• Be willing to work rotating day and night 12-hour shifts, including holidays.
• Provide at least one recent reference from a supervisor or manager in the relevant specialty within the past 12 months.
