Registered Nurse Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical standards. Flexibility to float to units J1-2, J33, and ED as needed for consistent patient care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions based on physician orders and patient needs.
• Monitor patient vital signs, interpret ECG rhythms, and recognize abnormal patterns promptly.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
• Respond swiftly to patient emergencies and escalate concerns following protocols.
• Adhere to all safety, compliance, and certification requirements throughout shifts.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 18 months of recent, permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing, with travel experience acceptable.
• Hold a valid Ohio or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Be certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with active credentials.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments with passing scores.
• Be able to work at least every other holiday, including night and day rotating shifts.
• Comply with all travel and healthcare regulatory requirements, including background checks and drug screening.
