Registered Nurse Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Seeking a experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-20 week contract on Med/Surg Telemetry at a reputable healthcare facility. The role involves providing exceptional patient care during night shifts, with comprehensive responsibilities tailored to acute medical-surgical needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and ECG rhythms to detect early signs of deterioration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, progress, and interventions accurately in electronic medical records.
• Provide patient education and support to ensure understanding of treatments and recovery process.
• Adhere to all safety, compliance, and infection control policies, including required certifications and screenings.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent, full-time perm experience in Med/Surg Telemetry.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications are required, with certifications in hand at submission.
• Experience recognizing ECG rhythms and performing safe Medicate procedures.
• Successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate assessments during orientation.
• Provide one recent work reference from a supervisor or manager within the past 12 months, specific to the specialty.
