Registered Nurse Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through clinical expertise and compassionate support. This role involves delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans tailored to medical and surgical needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding promptly to abnormal findings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless communication.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio license or Compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proven proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
• Ability to pass assessment tests with acceptable scores during orientation.
• Successful completion of background checks, drug screens, and requisite licensing requirements.
