About This Role
The RN - Cardiovascular Surgery Stepdown position at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus involves providing expert nursing care to post‑open heart, surgical, and ventricular assist device patients. This role is ideal for dedicated nurses looking to grow in a fast‑paced environment while delivering compassionate support to patients and their families.
Highlights- Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
- Location: Cleveland, OH
- Facility: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus
- Department/Unit: J53 Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit
- Schedule: Full‑time, Day shift
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program) required. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience required.
- Licenses &
Certifications:
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
