About This Role

As an RN in the Orthopaedic/Spine Unit at Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital, you will provide exceptional patient care for surgical patients while participating in a comprehensive Nurse Residency program. This role is ideal for new graduate nurses looking to enhance their skills in a supportive environment.

• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity, preference, and resources.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Interact directly with patients and their families to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education.
• Care for patients undergoing Bariatric, Neurology, Spinal, and Orthopedic surgeries.

• Education:
  
  Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.
• Experience:
  
  One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience required.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
