New Grad RN Resident – Cardiology Stepdown Unit

About This Role

As a New Grad RN Resident in the Cardiology Stepdown Unit at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide fast‑paced nursing care to a select medical cardiac patient population while receiving support and training through a one-year accredited Nurse Residency program.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus
• Department/Unit: Cardiology Stepdown Unit
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional patient care.
• Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience.
• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity and resources.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

• Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program) required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience: New grad or less than one year of RN work experience.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required if in a Critical Care area.
