About This Role
As an RN in Interventional Radiology at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus, you will provide exceptional nursing care to hospitalized patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services. Interventional Radiology - Schedule:
Full-time, Day shift (7:00 a.m.
- 7:30 p.m., including two weekend shifts within a six-week period)
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services.
- Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings, and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
- Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
- Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
- Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
- Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care.
- Assist with specialized patient care equipment as required by the clinical department.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician or LIP.
- Educate patients and families.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required
- One year of recent experience as an RN OR Licensed RN with at least 2 years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department may substitute for required RN experience
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within the first six months of employment
- Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) preferred within three years of hire
