New Grad RN Resident - Hematology​/Oncology

About This Role

The New Grad RN Resident position in the Hematology/Oncology unit at Cleveland Clinic is designed for recent nursing graduates seeking to provide exceptional care to patients with malignancies and hematologic diseases. This role offers the opportunity to develop skills in administering chemotherapy and understanding chemotherapy reactions.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic
• Department/Unit: Hematology/Oncology
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
• Interact directly with patients and their families to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

• New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
