Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a hospital position requiring an Ohio or compact RN license and 12 months of specialty experience.

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day/Night rotating 3x12 shifts (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm), subject to change based on operational needs
• 18-week assignment for winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also accepted
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required (maximum of 2 attempts)
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• BCI/FBI background checks must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
• Open background check cases or any license hits are not accepted
