Manages, plans, and coordinates the Quality Assurance program designed to ensure production of delivered products that consistently meet customer expectations. This position will focus on the prevention aspect of the quality program.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:- Drives quality culture throughout the site through consistent communication, demonstration of ownership and accountability for all team members, and educating employees with quality know-how.
- Oversees the QMS (Quality Management System) and ensures compliance with internal and external requirements as site lead for customer specific requirements, customer audits, internal auditing, ISO
9001/IATF
16949 certification maintenance, calibration process, GR&R/MSA, PPAP, APQP, controlled document management, management review), utilizing internal team and interdepartmental resources. - Participates in new product introductions to ensure proper quality assurance and control plans adjustments are implemented prior to beginning mass production.
- Monitors and provides management visibility to key quality KPI’s and leads effective teams in root cause investigation and countermeasure development/implementation for systemic issues related to those metrics (such as Cost of Quality, Non‑Conforming Material Generation, Abnormals, Customer Complaints, Expired/Off Spec Inventory Management).
- Supports sub‑supplier quality management by participating in sub‑supplier QMS audits, ensuring sub‑supplier QMS satisfies NPAA requirements / quality standards, and monitoring the SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) Process by sharing initial investigation findings and ensuring the supplier reaches effective root cause determination and countermeasure implementation.
- Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices. Holds others accountable for consistent adherence to standards.
- Performs managerial activities including hiring, training, promotions, performance management and sets departmental goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience preferred in the automotive coatings industry in Technical, Quality or Operations (Quality preferred).
- Previous supervisor experience required.
- Must have proven success in project management and ability to implement business process improvements affecting multiple departments.
- Must have experience in compliance to standards such as ISO
9001 / IATF
16949. - Must have experience in problem‑solving (to support customer complaint RCA) and continuous improvement / kaizen processes.
$89,985.14 to $ annually. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.

- Manufacturing industry experience preferred

- Ability to work off shift hours in order to meet the needs of the business.
