Position Overview

As a Lead Analytical Technician, you will report to the Analytical and RM Lab Manager to perform a variety of routine chemical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods. Additionally, you will be the first point of contact for any issues that arise in this process.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis and tests of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products samples of manufactured/intermediate products to verify conformity to specifications.
  • Record test results on batch tickets and in the company’s computer operating system.
  • Organize and maintain quality records and retains of production/intermediate batches and raw materials.
  • Compile, interpret, and document statistical data from testing processes to confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests.
  • Set up, adjust, verify, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain housekeeping of the working place.
  • Provide adjustment support and guidance for in-process batches.
  • Act as the “shift lead” and point of contact for any issues that arise during the shift.
  • Provide test method training for new technicians.
  • Respect the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Policy.
  • Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
  • Perform 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.
  • Support all Quality Control related initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science related field.
  • 3+ years of experience, including automotive OEM customer products, testing, and specifications preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment; strong communication and organizational skills.
