About the role
We are looking for a full‑time Quality Coordinator to coordinate and supervise the laboratory’s quality assurance and quality control functions. The Coordinator works with the QA Manager to implement quality programs, maintain compliance with the corporate quality program and, where applicable, lab accreditation. This role is also responsible for various laboratory testing activities.
Responsibilities- Ensure critical equipment, instrumentation and chemicals are SI‑traceable and purchased from ISO/IEC 17025 accredited vendors.
- Maintain local calibration and verification schedules for critical instrumentation and equipment.
- Ensure third‑party calibrations and verifications are performed by approved vendors.
- Provide staff training for in‑house calibration and verifications, and SOPs as required.
- Maintain certification of analysis records for purchased chemicals and equipment.
- Monitor calibration and verification logs.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual internal audits on all local methods per the QA Manager’s audit schedule.
- Initiate corrective action for any departures from the quality management system, including root‑cause investigation and preventive action.
- Set up, evaluate, and monitor Statistical Process Control charts for each method and instrument.
- Attend and participate in quality meetings; support shift handovers.
- Identify continuous improvement activities for the site.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Laboratory experience preferred.
- Physical ability to stand for up to 8 hours, speak and hear clearly, operate equipment and handle glassware; average vision required.
