Quality Assurance Manager
As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will act as liaison between Operations, Process Engineering, Technical, and Customer facing team (Account Mgr. and Optima team) in quality related inquiries, investigations.
Routine Activities
- Maintain and improve existing QMS and certificates and ensure QMS requirements are reflected and implemented in the product realization process.
- Ensure customer specific requirements (CSRs and Supplier Quality Manual requirements) are integrated into the QMS and consistently met
- Ensures consistent measurement and reporting of site quality performance within the organization
- Lead internal and external quality incident investigations (off spec situations, customer complaints, SCAR) and related communication in a timely and effective manner, ensure defined corrective actions are effectively implemented and problem resolution is done in a systemic way.
- Drive data driven site quality improvement programs to improve yield/productivity cost of non-conformance and customer complaints performance.
- Facilitate/lead in-house customer & supplier visits.
- Support and troubleshoot data systems including SAP, LIMS, and ETQ Reliance
- Owner of the site internal audit program (planning & execution) and the site document control system
- Collaborate with technical, Optima and R&D team to drive quality improvement in first right capability.
- Gate keeper in site level quality MOC, and New Product Launches
- Provides quality, training, leadership and coaching for the site
- Promotes quality culture at site
Decision Authorities
- User decision related to product release
- Decision on product Fit/Form/Function related change approval requests
- Decision on off spec product disposition
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Quality, Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years of quality management experience, preferred in automotive industry
- Minimum three (3) years of people management or supervisory experience
- Certified Lead Auditor (IATF; VDA preferred)
- Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive core tools (FMEA, SPC, CP, APQP)
The pay range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000.
